Politics of the Art Exhibition I, 7,5 hp
Konstutställningens politik och praktik I, (7.5 ECTS)
The course aims at investigating different motives for collecting and exhibiting art. Visits to exhibition spaces in Stockholm, established from the late 18th Century onwards, are central in the course, but the theoretical framework relates to both Swedish and international examples. Aspects such as education and the creation of a national identity are discussed in relation to exhibition practices and politics.
